Our Collection
Discover our homes, all designed to to embrace the beauty of the West Coast, with direct access to the bordering Columbine Nature Reserve and Lighthouse thanks to our located on the quieter Bekbaai side of Paternoster.
Sustainability
Our space is as friendly to its environment as it is to its guests. Throughout all the renovation and restoration projects, every effort has been made to address our impact on the landscape and to support local producers and brands wherever possible.
Paternoster Activities
From horseback riding along the pearly white beaches, to kayaking alongside dolphins and a spot of whale watching depending on when you visit us. Get a taste of what’s on offer in our beloved West Coast fishing village.
About the owner
With a home-away-from-home feel and Afro-Scandi design, our Collection offers the perfect hideaways lovingly created by Swedish interior designer and South African National Tour Guide, Jonas Sandström.
Our Ethos
Gonana means to ‘embrace’ in isiZulu, and embracing our surroundings is what we’ve done. Supporting local artisans and small businesses while encouraging our guests to do the same. Come and embrace the slow life at our Collection.

A small, beautiful guesthouse located on the beach of Paternoster. Great balcony in the general guest area with a view of the sea, which we particularly enjoyed at breakfast. Nice, friendly, and very attentive staff. Great breakfast. Clean rooms. The entire complex is very well maintained.
